Description: | Your ASTRON delegation has returned from the SKAO "Advancing Astrophysics II" science meeting in Görlitz last brimming with excitement and inspiration. The ASTRON team seized every opportunity to connect, present, and collaborate across the week of intense scientific exchange, which included over 500 participants from 26 countries. From plenary talks to parallel sessions spanning transients, pulsars, cosmology, and more, ASTRON researchers delivered high-impact talks. Discovering on the frontlines of SKAO’s early-science preparations added a layer of excitement. With SKA telescopes soon to enter commissioning and science verification phases, ASTRON's (and largely Dutch community) active involvement in the meeting reflected its readiness to contribute meaningfully to the Observatory's mission. Beyond science, the delegation experienced the warmth of Görlitz’s collaborative spirit as being a border town in Germany and Poland. This is picture of all the people at the meeting that in past or present have contributed to the scientific environment of the Netherlands! |
