Description: | On august 12th we went out at night to watch the Perseids meteors, together with our summer students. We were treated to several bright shooting stars, and the northern lights put up a spectacular show. I've created a timelapse with long exposures of 30 seconds each, showing how the northern lights danced around over our 25m telescope, and capturing about 10 shooting stars. Apart from shooting stars there are a number of trails due to satellites and airplanes, and the bottom of the frame just catches the LED lights of passing bicycles. |
