But the real highlight was the ASTRON cabaret. Since Jaap is finally getting around to writing his PhD thesis, a set of images of ASTRON 'Professors' was collated into an intimidating decor. See whether you can identify them all (the one at the top right is Moore, of Moore's Law). A mock examination committee then did a remarkable job in interrogating a mock promovendus, who passed with flying colours. We trust that the real one will do as well, when the time comes.
