| Description: | Early in the spring, as the weather began to improve and the flattening of some of the remote LOFAR fields had just begun, the LOFAR Monitoring Commission visited Exloo. The monitoring commission includes Jan van de Donk (OCW), Mel McGillivray (SenterNovem) and Frank Molster (NWO). It is not the first time the commission has met with the ASTRON and LOFAR directorate, but it was their first visit to Exloo and the superterp site. Even though there were at that time no stations on the ground (except the original prototype stations), the scale of the LOFAR infrastructure seemed to impress them. This week the ASTRON bestuur will also visit Exloo and the two recently completed stations. |
